Adobe adds more image generators to its growing AI family


Its legacy is bolstered by cutting-edge additions to the Firefly generative AI platform, which were announced by Adobe on April 25, 2025. The launch included two advanced models for image generation- Firefly Image Model 4 and Firefly Image Model 4 Ultra- with the intent of providing enhanced realism, speed, and creativity for users in the creation of images. 

Firefly Image Model 4 and 4 Ultra: Creative Powers to New Heights

As the workhorse interface intended to deliver really good-quality images with speed and user control, Firefly Image Model 4 was intended to scale up to exclusive resolutions up to 2 K. This lets creators modify and fine-tune each element of the image, like style and lighting and camera angles, producing more realistic and customized graphics. 

In contrast, Firefly Image Model 4 Ultra caters to the imaging needs of sophisticated and high-detail scene generation.
